What scent comes to mind when you think of summer? For me, it’s the smell of salty sea, figs, coconut and sunscreen. The newest launch from Ellis Brooklyn, Sun Fruit ($105) is exactly that and so much more. This eau de parfum comes in a gorgeous vibrant neon yellow bottle and just screams summer in every way possible.
☀️How does Ellis Brooklyn Sun Fruit smell like?
At first impression, I get the fresh, bright and crisp notes, like Italian bergamot, fresh fig, and pear. The smell then slowly opens up to a soft blend of earthy florals (think jasmine, cyclamen and orris). The final touch on dey down and what I find so addicting about this perfume is the combination of warm vanilla, amber, coconut, and musks which tie everything into a gorgeous symphony. These notes truly evoke summer and transport me instantly to a tropical destination.

Top notes: Pear, Fig, Bergamot and Plum Tree
Mid notes: Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Orris and Cyclamen

The perfume has a very soft and subtle, but definitely noticeable scent. It is not too overpowering but just enough to get you noticed and make you smell like a summer goddess. Even though the scent is subtle, the staying power of this perfume is great and I can even smell it on my clothes the next day.

- Beautiful and aesthetically pleasing bottle design (it looks so beautiful on my vanity). It has the signature Ellis Brooklyn look (minimalistic bottle design in a vibrant color) which I really adore.
- Great staying power and projection (I can still smell this perfume on my clothes the next day and it always gets me so much compliments).
- Unique creamy fruity floral combination which I haven’t experienced with any other perfume so far. It’s truly an olfactory pleasure and the most perfect summer representation.

- The only negative side to this is the price tag as the bottle is priced at $105 and no option to get a free sample to try. They do offer a travel sized version of this perfume which retails for $30 and can last you quite a while so if you aren’t sure you would love this I would definitely recommend getting the travel sized version first. 🥰
