The Maker Wild Eau de Parfum Review

What notes do you imagine when you think of passion and love? My idea of this would be a combination of florals such as water lilies and jasmine in combination with sharper citrus and woody notes. The Maker perfectly brings this to life with Wild Eau de Parfum ($160) and I find this to be the best water lily perfume I’ve ever tried. This perfume comes in an elegant and aesthetically pleasing glass bottle which looks really inviting on the vanity.

How does The Maker Wild Eau de Parfum smell like?

This perfume is truly like a beautiful poem for your senses. On the first sniff, I get the refreshing and juicy citrus and fruit notes, like Velvety Peach, Yuzu Fruit and Italian Bergamot. As the smell starts to dry down it unveils a beautiful and addictive smell of Lilies, Jasmine and Tuberose. The poem ends with a woody and earthy dry combination (White Sandalwood, Transparent Cedarwood, Indonesian Patchouli) which really brings everything together and makes this perfume so unique.

What are the notes in this perfume?

Top notes: Italian Bergamot, Velvety Peach, Yuzu Fruit
Mid notes: Tuberose Absolute, Nymphea, Jasmine Grandiflorum
Base notes: White Sandalwood, Transparent Cedarwood, Indonesian Patchouli

How long does it stay on?

This perfume performs really well with my skin chemistry and I can usually smell it on me throughout the day and even on my clothes the next day. It is definitely not a super strong smelling perfume, it’s more on the subtle side in my opinion. If you would like the scent to be stronger you will probably want to layer it with a body oil/cream before applying.

What I love about this perfume?

  • This perfume is extremely addictive to me and I am just in love with it’s notes and can’t stop smelling myself whenever I wear it. I find that others love it on me as well as it gets me a lot of compliments every time I wear it.
  • Elegant and timeless glass bottle which is very aesthetically pleasing and looks absolutely luxurious on your vanity.
  • Subtle scent with great performance and staying power/projection. There is no need to re-apply it throughout the day.

What are the cons?

  • The price tag is definitely the biggest negative side to this perfume as the bottle is priced at $160.
  • No option to order a free sample of this perfume to try before you buy it is another con as blind buying a perfume is risky. The brand does offer a mini 10ml rollerball version of this perfume which you can get if you’d like to try this perfume before committing to the full sized version. The mini version retails for $42 which is also a lot, but I I believe this perfume is very worth the cost as it smells incredible.

Overall, I am truly impressed with The Maker perfumes and would definitely recommend trying Wild Eau de Parfum out. 💕
