After a magical day in Ubud, the adventure has taken us to the village of Padangbai where our Acrovinyasa yoga teacher training was supposed to take place.
It was a long and rainy drive to the village but we made it in one piece. We were welcomed to the Bloo Lagoon eco-resort by very kind hotel staff. They immediately gave us umbrellas and took care of our luggage. They proceeded to take us to our villa where we would be spending the next two weeks of our stay.
Entering into our villa for the first time was a pretty shocking experience to say the least. Let’s get this straight, we had no idea that we would be having our own villa before we came to the Bloo Lagoon eco-resort. We didn’t do our homework and came there expecting a hotel room. You can imagine our shock when we opened the door to our very own little apartment!
The apartment featured two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a built in stone tub), living room, kitchen, balcony and a little platform which lead to the pool through a secret garden.
What made the whole experience even more incredible was the fact that our villa was completely open on the side that faced the ocean so we were basically living outside and breathing in the fresh salty air the entire stay. It was MAGICAL!
Later we learned that all of the villas in Bloo Lagoon eco-resort are designed to be open like that. That’s because the owners of Bloo Lagoon wanted to emphasize the fact that we are all beings of nature and to make us re-connect with our true selves.
Each of the villas is completely unique though and has their own secret features such as fountains, private gardens, swings, etc.
Opening my eyes every morning to the picture of ocean sunrise and Mount Agung volcano while listening to the song of the birds and waves was a memory I will never forget. It literally made me cry with happiness and disbelief that this was actually happening to me. I will forever be humble and grateful to have experienced such a thing. It is definitely one of my most favorite memories from our trip to Bali.
The adventure didn’t stop there though, our Acrovinyasa yoga teacher training was about to take place!
To be continued.
