BALI TRIP- part 2

Even though it was almost 1am when we arrived at Grand Mirah Boutique Hotel in Denpasar, we were welcomed by the most beautiful calming sound of a fountain and a super friendly receptionist. It was so refreshing to experience some peaceful vibes after a crazy day of flying across the globe, not sleeping the whole day and being overwhelmed by dozens of taxi drivers at the airport.

We entered our room and were greeted by a much-needed cooling breeze that rejuvenated our soul. The bed in our room was a story of its own. I think I could write a book on how amazing the bed was. Seriously, it was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. It was like sleeping on the clouds and I’m not saying that just because we were super sleep-deprived.
Of course, we dozed off in a matter of seconds but we still had to wake up at 7AM the next morning because we wanted to make the most of our stay.

Waking up in Bali is a memory I will never forget. We woke up before our alarm thanks to the beautiful rays of sunshine. Even though we only slept for about 5 hours we felt completely energized and ready to seize the day. It felt surreal to wake up knowing that we are in Bali. I jumped out of bed like a kid and immediately went to open our terrace doors. The view before my eyes, the sounds and smells made me smile so bright. It was breakfast time and you could basically smell the energizing Balinese coffee aroma all the way to our balcony. The water in the pool downstairs was dancing to the calming sounds of Balinese instrumental music. It was real. We were in Bali.

We got dressed as quickly as we could and went downstairs to have breakfast. The grins on our faces were so big that we probably looked like two weirdos to the staff in the hotel. Nonetheless, they greeted us with utmost respect and kindness. We felt like royalty eating our breakfast by the pool and listening to Balinese music.

Our plan was to stay in Denpasar city for 1 day before going to the village of Padangbai where our Acrovinyasa teacher training was taking place. We practically made a last-minute decision to visit Ubud instead of staying at Denpasar city the whole day so we had arranged a driver to take us on a little tour around Ubud.

After one of the most magical mornings in our lives, we went to the room to prepare for our Ubud adventure…

To be continued.
